Metro Dance Academy - Dance Instructor
Keelie has spent her her life immersed in dance, outdoor adventures, and yoga practice. Through these endeavors, she has built a foundation of confidence and strength to influence other aspects of her life. In teaching dance, Keelie hopes to instill these same qualities in her students. She started dancing at the age of two, and has trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, modern, and African. Keelie earned her degree at the University of Oregon in 2009, where she was a member of both the dance and cheer teams. Prior to UO, Keelie danced for the University of Montana and Lake Oswego High School, where she was a captain for two years and led her team to two state championships. She also danced for the Lake Oswego Academy of Dance Performing Company for five years.
Eager to share her passion for dance with others, Keelie has ten years of teaching experience. She has taught technique, jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, and lyrical for Lake Oswego Academy of Dance, Musical Feet School of Dance, and Gotta Dance, in addition to cardio dance, aqua fitness, and kids and family dance at YMCA. Additionally, Keelie has done choreography for the University of Washington dance team as well as technique and choreography for Westside Dance Team. Keelie is thrilled to share her love of dance with the students and families of Metro Dance Academy.
