Girls Team Head Coach
As Metro's Girls Team Head Coach and choreographer, Sara's coaching experience dates back to 1996, and her love for gymnastics to her toddler years. Sara has also been a part of the Metro family since she joined and became one of the first members of Metro's competitive girl's team at the age of 10. She was involved in competitions until age 15, when she achieved Level 10 status. Athletics has always been a big part of Sara's life. In high school she played volleyball and was on the dance team, and also taught tumbling and dance, as well as choreographing floor routines at a local gymnastics center. During her senior year in high school she began coaching level 5-8 girls and has been coaching ever since. Sara has been the Optional Head Coach since 2001 and holds several honors for her coaching work including the State of Oregon Compulsory Coach of the Year (2005) and the State of Oregon Optional Coach of the Year (2006 & 2009). Sara is committed to coaching and regularly attends state, regional and national congresses to further her education in the sport of gymnastics.
